Alumni Advisory Committee

The Zahava and Moshael J. Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought

Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Straus Center Alumni Advisory Committee

The Alumni Advisory Committee is a new initiative by the Straus Center for Torah and Western Thought of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³». The Straus Center trains Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» students to be modern Orthodox intellectual leaders who are well-versed in both Torah and the Western canon.

The Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» Straus Center Alumni Advisory Committee aims to further the impact of Straus alumni, current Straus Scholars, and other students involved in politics, policy, and journalism on both of Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³»â€™s campuses.

This Advisory Committee is an arm of the Straus Center’s Impact Office, led by Dr. Tevi Troy. The Impact Office works to foster the growth of the Straus Scholars beyond the walls of the classroom, by making them aware of internship and fellowship opportunities and job postings, offering mentorship and networking opportunities over the course of their early careers, and arranging continued intellectual enhancement activities following graduation.

The Advisory Committee hosts New York City-based events and facilitates a mentorship program for a growing network of aligned Â鶹´«Ã½Ó³» students and young professionals.
